Georgia on My Mind and Paramotor Flight

Coming to Georgia feels like a new phase of the trip. It started with an emotional departure from Florida, stormy weather on the way up and positioning in the beautiful countryside near Americas at Hodge’s field.

The Mac Hodge’s – It was an honor Sir!

I grew a little impatient on Friday and wanted to get up in the air. The weather was gusty and as my video showed, it hadn’t been a good idea to fly. If only I had waited, the wind calmed down nicely and provided a perfect opportunity before sunset.

The forecast had looked much better and today waited patiently for the winds to calm before warming up the motor and setting on my mission to fly to Souther Field three miles away in the hope to run into other pilots who could verify my flight in Georgia and sign my log. I wasn’t disappointed.

Andrew & Sammy were getting ready to make a flight and had captured my landing. Thank You guys for signing the log and capturing my take off.

Andrew & Sammy were kind enough to sign my log at Souther Field, Georgia.

Below is the video from my flights here. Georgia, you’re still on my mind!

Some of you may have noticed that I have an additional attachment on my helmet. Thanks to Eric and my friends at Aviator Paramotor I was sponsored one of their Northstar strobes. I’m not a huge fan of helmet attachments due to the risk of tangles with lines, but I often forget to turn my mounted strobe on, so this way I can turn it on while in flight. This one is far better than the one I have, and will definitely ensure I’m visible in the air – Thanks Guys
