Wyoming Buffalo

Raymond Pierce who had been tracking my trip from the beginning invited me to come through to Buffalo where I would have the chance to both Paramotor and Free Fly.

I arrived late morning having made it out of Devil’s tower before the bad weather that was predicted had a chance to roll in. After some pleasantries, I backed my trailer into the spot he provided and was connected with Power, Water and Wifi which is all the 50xChallenge guy needs for comfortable camping.

That night I was treated to sitting down for dinner with his family and some amazing steak which was awesome.

The next day Raymond took me out to his oil fields while he checked out the “nodding horses/donkeys” and make sure they were doing their job. Afterward I was treated to a tour of the beautiful countryside and view the history of Dull Knife Battlefield & Outlaw Cave.

Thursday afternoon we went and flew from Banner about halfway between Buffalo and Sheridan as you can see from the amazing picture above.

The weather didn’t really co-operate for flying Friday, Saturday & Sunday, but I was glad for a little downtime and only edited a couple of videos and blogs. Each day I went out to the fields with Raymond and learned a lot about how they operate and also got to see a whole lot more of the mountains by driving up a trail to the summit which just a few weeks ago was still covered in snow and would have been impossible.

I have been struggling with back pain for several weeks but haven’t been able to see a massage therapist or chiropractor until now. I visited a chiropractor today and hopefully he has me straightened me out.
