Bamboo Reef Dive Centers pledges to donate to Shark Stewards

As many of you know I’ve been an avid Scuba Diver for 20 years and have been teaching diving for more than 18 years as a multi-agency Instructor for Scuba Schools International (SSI), PADI and NAUI.

You would most definitely have seen the jacket or t-shirt with their logo on it which I’ve worn on many of my flights.

I’ve worked with Bamboo Reef since I got certified. I built and managed their web and Social Media presence until October 2019 and remain very connected to the shop even though I haven’t had much opportunity to teach while at Business School and now the trip.

Bamboo Reef Dive Centers has now pledged to donate 2 class/pool Open Water certifications to Shark Stewards as part of the 50 x Challenge with a value of more than $1000. I’m super excited to see two Shark Stewards get certified and help restore ocean health by saving sharks from overfishing and the shark fin trade and protecting critical marine habitat through the establishment of marine protected areas and shark sanctuaries.

Just remember, Sharks are Friends, Fish are food. They really are puppy dogs and I’ve had some really amazing experiences interacting with them.
